Testimonials
Kali’s passion for helping others, her patience, and her ability to stay positive no matter what the situation is, always inspires me. She’s someone who genuinely makes a difference. I’ve seen her how she leads with compassion. Whether it was through our work with WUSC and Eco Patriot or her efforts as a soph to make Huron campus feel like home for so many, she always goes above and beyond. Her kindness, hard work, and dedication have been an inspiration to me, and I know she’s had the same impact on many first-year students. Kali is the kind of leader we need motivated, caring, and talented.

I first met Kali during OWeek when she was a Soph, and we instantly connected as international students. Since then, she has been integral to my support system at Huron. Whether I had questions about campus clubs or was struggling to adjust to life away from home, Kali was always there with a helping hand. Her genuine care for others’ well-being, active presence on campus, and hardworking nature make her more than qualified to be the next VPSA. If you ever need to share an idea or concern with Kali, just pull her aside in the hallway she’ll listen, and you’ll be glad you did.

Do you know how it feels like coming from a refugee camp and migrating to a new environment where you only know yourself? Well, Kalkidan was like a guardian angel to me and made me feel at home at Huron. I knew the whole Western and Huron system because of her. She instilled a sense of belonging in me despite where I come from. Her ability to connect with others and her dedication to making everyone feel heard and valued shows just how qualified she is to be the next VPSA. Kalkidan’s genuine care for others and her leadership make her an ideal candidate to represent and support all students at Huron.
